John earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at the University of Utah. In July of 1994, he began his financial services career at Prudential Preferred Financial Services in the Seattle office where he became a leading expert in institutional investment consulting and planning for the region. In 1997, John moved his practice to RA Bench, where he specialized in investment consulting, design of general and executive benefit arrangements, the financing of shareholder buy-sell agreements, and estate tax and business succession planning. He co-founded Duncan & Haley in December 1998, and has subsequently studied and worked intensely in institutional investment theory, fiduciary stewardship and the delivery of private client comprehensive wealth management services. In addition to being a Registered Investment Adviser, John holds a Series 7 (inactive) 65, and 24 securities licenses, but no longer affiliates with a broker/dealer. He carries the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation, and is a licensed life, health, disability, long term care, and property and casualty insurance producer. John is married and has five children, enjoys skiing and hiking and volunteering with local charitable and conservation organizations.
